Pechaa Kuchaa @ HELP Residensi

  1. What is Pechaa Kuchaa? - It's a presentation concept whereby presenters will only get 20 slides, 19 seconds for each slide (which makes it a total of 6 minutes 30 seconds) to present on a given topic. All 20 slides will consist of ONLY pictures, with no words allowed.

  2. Is it interesting? - Sounds interesting enough? No? Well, we decided to take Pechaa Kuchaa to a whole new level by turning it into a competition! The competition consists of 2 separate categories: 1. Lecturers versus Lecturers 2. Students versus Students.

  3. Who is participating? - Come watch as your favourite lecturers and students from various departments present on ridiculous topics!.

  4. That was some interesting info on the programme that was held last Friday. I'm super tired that day. With a pile of work covering my desk, i slowly look-out for some picture to put on the ppt for the event. To be frank, it's not that easy to find a suitable picture for the presentation.

  5. Convincing my wife to go for that event also is another big task. She was a bit apprehensive when i told her about this event maybe because we never heard anything similar to this. In short, i faced a lot of obstacle to prepare for this event.

  6. When i entered the HELP Residensi, the tension is building-up and i never thought that i could perform well. Imagine that i did not event practise using the slides and all i hoped was to be as spontaneous as i can.

  7. When Magdeline (my student from my Intro to MARCOMM class and she was the MC for the event) called-up my name, i am shaking like i have just taken a shower from the top of Gunung Kinabalu but my experience in hiding it was used to the MAX!!!!!...only good knows how scared i am at that particular moment.

  8. When the presentation started i have just forgotten how i started it and the slides kept changing and i have to cope with it as well....

  9. In the end when thay announced my as 2nd runner-up, i was shocked and i could not believe it simply because for an obvious reasons i am not THAT GOOD. But the prizes were very-very good. I got: A hamper, A bouquet of flower, MAC make-up set, Goodie bag from Genting (Including a Instrumental songs CD), RM200 Voucher for a Ayuverdic,Slimming Session and A certificate of participation.

  10. It was a worthwhile sacrifices. With the tension and headache, i manage to go though it. Even if i didn't win it that day, I'm still happy with myself as i can still pull some strings and even surprised many of my students.
