Johor Sultan's call for English medium schools to be implemented here in Malaysia

I have a different view on the Johor Sultan's call for English medium schools to be implemented here in Malaysia particularly in Johor. For me, picking a good teacher should be the dealt with utmost care and importance. This is because a person who teaches our students should have the required qualities before allowing them to start teaching. I have an experience meeting with some of my colleagues who happened to be teachers and most of them are clueless on what should be done in order to improve our education standards. They are just happy going to school and then go back home at about 3-4 pm. That is why we do not tap the best ever possible performance from our school students because our teachers are mediocre. Even for those teachers with an A in English for their SPM (which sometimes the only A they got) will not bring benefits to the student as he or she lacks the depth to teach any subjects given to them. That is why I do believe that the answer to this is to pick the best among the best like our neighbors Singapore did where they picked the cream-de-la-cream of their students to be the top paying job in the government which being a school teacher. How cool is that?

Teachers for me should be the 'front movers' in our country. They should be the role model in everything they do and this also includes being able to convince the kid's parent (who sometimes are highly experience and more qualified than the teachers themselves) on what is best for their children. I know it is not easy by as Pink the singer of her songs suggest that we all should "You gotta get up and try..try...try". Hahhaha. Last but not least, my proposal to the government is to ask the PSD or JPA to allocate some of our best students to be teachers. Yay or Nay?
