Erase Race Category in Forms?

• It's good call. I'm referring to the omitting the "Race" category in forms. To read more click here


• I do agree on Malaysian Employers Federation executive director, Shamsuddin Bardan views that as long as we are divided along racial line, we will not fully achieve the 1Malaysia aspiration


• Some other interesting views mentioned that by erasing the race category means that you are trying to focus less on our own ethnicity and work more on being a Malaysian


• Personally i am also in-line with all the views as long as it's fair to everybody and it is not jeopardising the rights of any Malaysians in general


• Government should also try to identify which type of form should they abolished the race column and in some cases they have to maintain the race category to obtain statistical data for future reference


• As for us, we should not expect too much from this development as this is probably an initial steps for us look more "united" on paper rather than being seen as a race based society


• Although this development is seen as a very small step toward a better Malaysia, i do sincerely hope that it could be implemented rather than this newspaper will just become my "nasi lemak" wrapper in future.
